Before I carry on with the actual review of Toluna, I want to answer a few questions that keep popping up about this survey site.

Is Toluna safe? Going on from the previous answer, yes it is totally safe, your personal data is protected and it is certified by the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.
Does Toluna pay? Yes, Toluna does pay, once you have accumulated enough points you can redeem them through a variety of ways, including Paypal and gift cards. Toluna also has an 8/10 rating on Trustpilot and over a thousand member reviews, they are trusted and legitimate survey site.
Something else I want to mention before I start the actual review and that is to not treat taking surveys as a way to try and earn a part or full-time income. It may sound ridiculous to some, but there are websites out there that give of the impression that you can earn life-changing income by just taking surveys, if you ever come across any of these, run the other way!!
Fortunately, legitimate survey companies like Toluna do not advertise it as such, they upfront with how much you can earn and do not suggest that you could earn a decent income by taking surveys.
Now to the actual review of Toluna.
Toluna or Toluna Influencers as they are now known is a marketing research firm based in the USA, as of 2019, they have over 21 million members in 50 countries, their goal is to connect consumers likes you and me with global brands through surveys.
Surveys could literally be about anything and they take anything between 10 -30 minutes to complete. If you successfully complete a survey you will be rewarded a certain amount of points. These points can then be redeemed for cash or gift cards.
One thing you will notice is that they reward you a huge number of points, for example, when you sign up with them, you will receive 500 points. In most other survey sites, this number of points is equivalent to $5 but that is not the case with Toluna. 500 points are roughly $1, I must say this is a good marketing ploy when people see the huge number of points they can earn with just taking one survey, they will be willing to complete it until they find out that it’s not worth as much as it may seem.
One other thing you will have to be aware of is that there will be qualifying questions you must answer before they let you take the actual survey. If you do not fall into the demographic they are looking for, you will be disqualified.
This is one of the main reasons a lot of people are not eligible for a lot of the surveys and this can get frustrating after a while. Its why I always advise people not to spend too much time trying to complete as many surveys as possible, especially if you get rejected a lot. It’s a waste of time for what you will earn.

Toluna Review – Creating Content
Toluna has a huge membership and they have a very active community forum where you can create content and initiate a conversation with other members. If it gets a lot of responses, you may be awarded some points. However, this is not the best way to earn as you do not know whether you will be rewarded or not, although it is a good way to interact with other members.
Toluna Sponsored Polls
This is probably one of the easiest ways to accumulate points fast, there are a lot of polls and you will be rewarded for everyone you vote in. There are a couple of things you have to be aware of, one, you will have to provide some personal details like D.O.B, address, phone no. etc. You can sign up without providing these details but if you do you get more earning potential. The other thing is the points you will be awarded are small, so to get to anything significant, you will have to take a lot of polls.
Toluna Referrals
Another easy way to rack up points is by referring others to Toluna, for everyone you refer who remains active within the platform, you will receive 500 points. There is a limit though, you can only refer 10 people per month, this is to reduce any abuse of the referral system.
Toluna Games
This isn’t an easy way to earn points but it is fun, there are there games you can play, they are;
THE Toluna Wheel – You are only allowed one try daily, it’s a bit like roulette, you spin the digital wheel and if it stops on one of the segments with points, you win, but usually, it will fall on the segment where there are no points. I play daily and I haven’t yet won. It’s probably coded against the player.
Memory Game – A simple memory game where you flip over some cards, memorise what is on them and then match them up.
Toluna Match mania – Similar to games like candy crush, you must match three or more of the same items in a row within a certain time limit. You can earn some points if you meet the target score before the timer runs out.
I must admit, I haven’t played online games in a while, but these did intrigue me, it’s a shame you can only play them once a day.

You can win 1 million points if take part in the daily millionaire sweepstakes, however, there are some conditions if you want to take part. You must have a profile picture and be active within Toluna. To take part you need to purchase tickets, one ticket costs 500 points and you can purchase as many as you want.

When you have accumulated enough points, you can redeem them for either Paypal cash, which is the most popular option or choose from a wide range of gift cards as shown below. One thing to bear in mind is that the gift cards will differ from country to country, so the gift cards available in your country will be different than the ones below.
