Hi and welcome to my review of Tactical Arbitrage.

Amazon provides people with many ways to start an online business, one of the most popular ways is to sell on their platform through their FBA service. One of the easiest ways to start selling on Amazon is through online and retail arbitrage, this is basically when you buy products from third party retailers and sell them on Amazon for a profit.

It may sound a little easy, but it actually is a lot of work, Amazon arbitrage is what I did when I first started this whole online business thing. It wasn’t a very successful venture for me, but my failure is my own doing, I personally think I gave up too quickly and it didn’t help that I used a flawed arbitrage software to source for products online.

Before I get to the actual review of Tactical Arbitrage, I just want to provide a brief explanation of what online/retail arbitrage is and how it works.

What is retail or online arbitrage? Its basically the process of buying products from stores like Tesco, Argos, Asda or PC World (if you live in the UK) or places like Walmart, Target and KMART (US) and then selling them for a higher price on a platform like Amazon, eBay or your own eCommerce store.

For example, say a store like Tesco or Walmart was having a clearance sale and you identify a product that is selling for less than half its usual selling price. You would purchase as many of them as possible and sell them for their normal price or maybe higher on a platform like Amazon or eBay.

It sounds simple and in a way, it is but there is a lot of data you will need to analyse before you decide to purchase any product and this is where Tactical Arbitrage comes in.

Besides having a cool name, Tactical Arbitrage is like a Swiss knife for people who want to start an Amazon arbitrage business.

It’s a web-based app that will save you a lot of time when it comes to sourcing for profitable products to sell on Amazon.

Looking from the tutorials on Tactical Arbitrage, the library search function may be the most under-utilised feature of this app.

This feature lets you find profitable books to flip on Amazon, people sometimes forget but selling books was what started the Bezos Amazon empire.

Selling books is still profitable especially through the arbitrage model but you must know what to sell and where to source them from and this what the library feature of Tactical arbitrage does for you.

I am not going to lie, this is an awesome piece of software but to make the best use of its powerful features, you will need to play around with for a bit and watch all of their training videos within the membership area.

I say this because I thought I could just figure it out by myself without watching the videos but there are a lot of features that you will need some guidance on how to use so that you get the best out of them.

There are a few ways you can search for books to flip on Amazon with Tactical Arbitrage. You can manually search for books through simple keyword research, this is only if you know the types of books you want to sell, otherwise, you will just be wasting your time just randomly searching for anything.

Another way to search for arbitrage book deals is by uploading files that include the Amazon book category URL or book codes like ISBN/ASIN and the software will scan these files and search for related deals on third party websites for these books.

Depending on the size of the file, it can take a while to fully scan and bring back the results, so you should leave it scanning in the background while looking for other arbitrage opportunities.

There are certain parameters you can set like filters for your profit margins and ROI, what the sales rank should be, if Amazon has the buy box or not and lots more so you can really narrow down your results to show only the deals with the best potential.

Product Search

This is the most popular feature of Tactical Arbitrage and the one you will be using to source profitable arbitrage deals from hundreds of online retail stores.

It has a basic and advanced filter setting, the basic one is pretty simple to use and probably will be the best solution when you first start using the software.

However, to use its capabilities to the fullest, you will need to learn how to use the advanced filters so that you only source products that are profitable and sell reasonably well.

I will admit when I first saw the advanced filters it was bit overwhelming, as I said early in this review, this software is feature-rich and there is a lot you can do with it but it does take some time to fully understand what all the features do.

Once you figure out how to utilise the software, you can really ramp up your Amazon arbitrage business.

The advanced filters are very similar to those in the library search function, they can really help you narrow down your search results so that you are only delivered the best products with the greatest selling potential.

Just have a look at the image below to see the number of filters you can apply to your search results.

Some of the filters include the following;

  1. On show products under a certain sales rank
  2. No. of estimated sales per months
  3. No. of FBA sellers
  4. Product size and weight
  5. No. of reviews
  6. Overall review rating
  7. Remove products if Amazon is also a seller
  8. Overall profit and ROI.

There are a lot more filters than the ones I have just listed, the best way to find the best deals is to be adjusting the filters and to keep your expectations realistic. If you set insanely high ROI, profit margins with only a couple of sellers and lots of sales a month, you may not get the results you want.

It will take some time to find the best deals and I highly recommend you go through the tutorials and fully understand how to best apply each filter so that you get the best results from each search.

Wholesale Search

If you have a business relationship with wholesalers, you can import their products into Tactical Arbitrage and the software will identify potential arbitrage deals for your business.

There are several ways you can do this if you have a file, you can upload it into their database or if the wholesaler has a website, you can scan the website, however, if you want this feature, you will need to purchase a membership of another related software called Tactical Bucket.

A great feature to use if you have access to a list of suppliers and their product database, most of the search functions in this feature are the same as the Product and Library search functions.

Reverse Search

This is a pretty cool feature, if you find a product or products on Amazon and want to sell these yourself, you can use the reverse search feature to discover any arbitrage opportunities.

In here you can the enter the ASIN number, keyword or the name of a product from Amazon and the software will scan all the available online retail stores and provide you with the data for any arbitrage opportunities.

Tactical Arbitrage – Training & Support

You get access to some decent video tutorials on how to properly use this software and they regularly update their blog where you can read about case studies ad how to succeed with Amazon arbitrage.

There is also a very active Facebook group where you can network with other successful Amazon sellers and get help with anything issues you may face and also get advice on everything related to running a successful Amazon arbitrage business.

Final Thoughts

Amazon arbitrage is a legitimate business model and with the right attitude, it can be a lucrative business venture. However, it is hard work and you will need to plan for the long term if you want success, it is not a get rich quick scheme where you will see overnight success (those don’t exist unless you win the lottery). With Tactical Arbitrage, you will have the best Amazon arbitrage software to give you the best chance at success. It is a complex software and gets some time to get familiar with its many features, but once you understand how it works, it’s like having an unfair advantage to those who are not using it.
