Hi and welcome to my review of Shopmaster, if you are looking to start a dropshipping business and want to know if Shopmaster can help you, this review will give a better understanding of what Shopmaster offers, how it works and what it will cost you.
Dropshipping is definitely one of the easiest ways to start an online business, you don’t need any inventory, don’t need a warehouse or even make delivery arrangements and you could start for less than $100.
However, like all businesses, it does take a lot of your time to run a dropshipping store, from looking for legitimate suppliers, contacting them, importing products into your store through complex software applications, to pricing the products and order fulfilment and many other tasks it can get a bit overwhelming.
Fortunately, there are many tools and services that will greatly help to reduce the time it takes to complete some of these tasks and even automate many of them.
I have reviewed many of these tools on my blog, some of the most well-known ones you may be already familiar with like Oberlo, Dropified, AliDropship and Spocket.
So, how does Shomaster compare to the dropshipping apps I have just mentioned? Carry on reading this review to find out and see if it is a good fit for your business.
So, what exactly is Shopmaster? In a nutshell, it is a dropshipping app that will allow you to automate a lot of the tasks involved in the day to day running of a dropshipping business.
With Shopmaster you can easily import products into your store from 30 online stores including AliExpress, Banggood, Chinabrands, CJ Dropshipping and Gogomail. You can also import from places like Amazon, eBay, DHagate, Walmart, GearBest and a host of others, however, the Shopmaster automation features are only applicable to the first 5 stores I mentioned.
So, one of the advantages of Shopmaster over some of the other dropshipping automation tools I mentioned near the beginning of this article is that there is a free version of the software that you will always have access to when you become a member.
I signed up for the free version of this software and that is what I am basing my review on. The good thing is you get access to all of the features even in the free version, so you can test it out fully before investing in one the monthly paid plans.
Shopmaster Members Area
Once you become a free member, you will be taken to the main dashboard as shown above.
You will be asked to connect your store if you have one, if not you can easily skip this part and do it later.
Shopmaster integrates with 5 eCommerce platforms, they are:
- 3D Cart
So, if you plan on using Shopmaster for your dropshipping needs, make sure to create your store using one of the platforms I just listed.
There are a few sections in the main dashboard that gives you easy access to many of the features of Shopmaster.
On the top, you can see what the orders you need to fulfil and products that need to be imported into your store.
The is a blue box that links to a selection of products that are selling well at the moment, when you click on it you are taken to a page like the one below.
For each product, you can see the following details
- Name of the retailer
- Where their warehouses are based
- The price of the product
- How many times the product has been imported into Shopmaster
- Total number of orders Overall rating
You can easily import any products you like by clicking on the orange button that says ‘click to import’.
Back to the main dashboard, you can also see some sales data for your stores like analysing what the top-selling items are by total revenue and items sold. You can see sales and profit reports and any changes that may affect your listings like price, inventory.
On the right, you have quick access links to the main features of the software and to helpful guides, video tutorials and any recent updates.
Like I mentioned near the beginning of this review, Shopmaster comes with a lot of features that will help you in the day to day running of your store by automating or semi-automating a lot of the dropshipping process.
These features include the following:
You can easily import products from over 30 suppliers, there are a variety of ways to do this, as you can see from the image below, you can import products in the following ways:
- Import products by entering the product URL
- Import products through entering their ID
- Import products through entering the product category
- In the case of AliExpress, you can enter in the URL of an AliExpress store.
Although there are 30 suppliers you can import products from, I would only concentrate on the ones that have the full support of the Shopmaster automated features.
After you have imported these products you can edit the product description, images and them push them into your store at the click of a button.
Another thing to note is that you can import products in bulk, you just need to enter multiple product URLs or product IDs (up to 100 at a time) and the software will import all the data in one go.
Automated Pricing Rules
Shopmaster has one of the most advanced sets of product pricing rules I have seen in any drop shipping. There are three ways you can price products with Shopmaster, they are as follows:
Simple – This for beginners and is easy to set up, just increase the product price through a set percentage, multiple or a fixed amount.
Advanced – If you want a bit more flexibility with your pricing you use the advanced pricing rule feature. Here you will be able to set prices depending on your supplier’s price range.
Pricing Formula – Similar to the advanced pricing feature except here you can set different pricing rules for products from different suppliers.
The cool thing about this feature is that when the price is changed on the supplier side, this will be automatically reflected in your pricing rules.
Automated Inventory Updates
If you use suppliers from AliExpress, Banggood, Chinabrands, CJ Dropshipping or Gogomail, any product changes that occur on the supplier side will be automatically updated inside of Shopmaster. This will save you time and trouble from having to quickly make any changes yourself.
Quick Order Fulfilment
Fulfilling multiple orders a day would take a lot of your time if it was done manually, however, with Shopmaster, it can be completed with a few clicks and the best thing is, since you are dropshipping, everything is taken care of by your supplier.
Also tracking numbers are automatically sent out to your customers as soon as an order is fulfilled, this will save you time from having to manually assign a tracking number to each order where mistakes can be made and the wrong tracking data sent to customers.
Shopmaster Chrome Extension
If you are just going to be using AliExpress as your only supplier, you can use the Shopmaster Chrome extension to easily import any products you want at the click of a button.
The features I mentioned above are the main ones that you will be using when you first start dropshipping with Shopmaster. However, there are way more features than the ones I have listed, in fact, Shopmaster has over 100 features that will let you do so much more with your dropshipping business. Most of these additional features are to help you scale your business and help you run it more efficiently.
Training & Support
There are some fantastic video tutorials on how to get started with Shopmaster, it’s one of the more sophisticated dropshipping apps and without these training videos, it would be difficult to work out how to best use many of the features that come with this software.
They also have an extensive knowledge base and an active Facebook community where you can ask for help from other users and from members of the Shopmaster staffing crew.
From what I have read and seen, their support is first class, they try and answer any queries as soon as possible and resolve any issues with Shopmaster very quickly. They also update their blog regularly where you can also find many helpful posts on subjects related to dropshipping.
Shopmaster has a free version that gives you access to all its features, there are some limitations on how you use these features but when you are just starting out, it’s a risk-free way to test out the software to see if it is a good fit for you.
I will be honest with you, when I first heard about this software I wasn’t expecting much, its not as well-known as some of the other dropshipping apps and my initial thought was that it was going to be a simple dropshipping app with limited features. I was very wrong, it is one of the best dropshipping apps I have reviewed and is the most feature-rich. Some of the advantages it has over the other apps like Oberlo, Spocket and Dropified is the number of suppliers you can use to import products from and the eCommerce platforms you can sync with Shopmaster. It has fantastic support, great tutorial and free to use. It’s definitely worth checking out if you want to dropship using suppliers from China.
