Welcome to my review of Dropified, a very popular dropshipping automation app that allows you to import products from AliExpres (and other sources) straight into your online store.

Dropified has been on the market for a few years now and the people behind it have continuously strived to improve the app. It has gone through a few updates and my review reflects the latest updates that have been made in 2020.

Dropshipping is becoming an increasingly popular way for entrepreneurs to start an online business. With little start-up costs and no need to stock inventory or worry about delivery charges, you can see why people are starting to prefer this eCommerce fulfilment method.

The rise in popularity of dropshipping has led to the development of several apps that automates a lot of the tasks required in a dropshipping business. One of those apps is Dropified (formerly Shopified), today I will review the Dropified app and see if it really lives up to all the hype.

I have reviewed a couple of other similar apps, including AliDropship, Oberlo, Modalyst uDroppy and Zendrop.

Before I carry on with this review of Dropified, I would like to answer a few questions that I keep getting asked about the Dropified dropshipping app.

What Is Dropified?

Dropified is an online dropshipping app that will help eCommerce entrepreneurs aut0mate many aspects of a dropshipping business. From importing products from multiple marketplaces and setting automatic pricing rule to fulfilling and tracking orders, Dropified provides you the tools you need to source and sell products for your dropshipping business. 

Is Dropified better than Oberlo?

There is no simple answer here, some people will prefer Oberlo, while others enjoy working with Dropified. Although, Dropified has advantages in several areas like, giving you access to more suppliers and not just AliExpress, which is what you get with Oberlo. Many of the automation features are very similar, although Oberlo does have a free plan that allows you to import and fulfil a certain number of products a month which is perfect for people who are on a tight budget and it has a superior range of tools and training material that are free to use.

Is Dropified Worth it?

This is something you can only answer because at the end of the day, it will only be worth it if your business is successful. The software does what it says and will help you source products and run your store more efficiently. However, only you can make it a success and that is by having a proper plan in place and not giving up on the first sign of hardship or failure.

Dropified Review

I try and update my reviews regularly, Dropified has made a few changes to their platform, like the pricing structure, more suppliers added and discontinuing their private label program.

One of the most popular platforms that people use to find products and suppliers for their dropshipping business is Aliexpress.

Aliexpress has a massive database of products along with their suppliers/manufacturers,however, it can be a little frustrating to manually import these products into your store.

This is where Dropified comes in, with its range of automation features like 1-click import and 1- click order, running a dropshipping business becomes less time-consuming and more profitable.

Dropified is a web-based app, so there is nothing to download and it comes with a Chrome extension that allows you to easily find and import products from AliExpress into your store.

Dropified Review – Chrome Extension

As you can see  from the image, the Chrome extension has many features, some of these include;

Import products – You can import products from Aliexpress straight into your Shopify store or into the Dropified web-app.

Enable ePacket Filter –  This will highlight products that have ePacket delivery option

Hide Products Without ePacket – All the products that do not have ePacket delivery option will be hidden.

Processing Time – The Chrome extension will highlight how long the item will take to be delivered.

The Chrome extension will also allow you to edit the product description, insert tags for clearer product identification and import all the images related to that product. To manually do all this stuff will take around 15 minutes per product, with the Chrome extension, everything is completed in a couple of minutes.

These features alone will save you lots of time,it will help eliminate mistakes being made and you will have more time to grow your store.

One other useful feature of the Chrome extension is the order auditing tool. This tool allows you to audit your orders to see if there are any issues that need to be corrected.

What the audit tool does is the following;

  • Shows you any duplicate orders
  • Shows you any orders that have been made in Aliexpress but not in the Dropified app
  • Shows you orders with the wrong address.

Dropified App

The web-app is where you will realise the true awesomeness of this app, it has a clean interface and is very easy to navigate.

The Dropified app comes with some awesome features, the main ones being importing products and fulfilling orders automatically. 

You have four options to fulfil orders, however, the easiest and less time-consuming option is the option number three. 

  1. Manual Order – If you are only getting a couple of orders a day.
  2. Step by Step Order – Takes you through the process
  3. Auto Order – The app does everything including what shipping method to use
  4. Auto Order, Choose Shipping – Same as above but you choose the shipping method.

As well as 1-click ordering capability, the web-app also comes with several other features that will help in the day to day running of a dropshipping business.

Some of these features include;

  • Pricing automation – Set pricing rules for all the products you sell, and the app will update the prices accordingly.
  • Price change notifications – Every time one of your suppliers changes their pricing,you will be notified so you can make the necessary changes and stay profitable.
  • Out of stock notification – You will get an alert whenever a product is out of stock. This will eliminate the risk of customers ordering out of stock products and give you time to find another supplier or remove the item from your store.
  • Shipment tracking – You will receive a custom tracking number as soon as an order is fulfilled. Dropified will also alert your customer about their order along with the tracking number.
  • US dropship database – Aliexpress has a list of dropshipping suppliers that are based in the US. Dropified allows you to find these suppliers with ease and source products from within the US that will result in much faster delivery time.

One thing you may notice from the video is that the app is still called Shopified instead of its new name which is Dropified, however, the funtions of the app remain the same.

There are a host of other features that come with this app, some I believe are unnecessary but others can be helpful although not essential to run a dropshipping business.

AliExpress Alternatives

Where Dropified separates itself from Oberlo and Alidropship is having more than one platform that you can use to import products into your store.

With Oberlo and Alidroship, you can only use Aliexpress, however with Dropified, there are over 40 online stores that you can import products from to start a dropshipping business.

Some of these stores include the following

  • Amazon (.com.co.uk)
  • eBay (.com.co.uk)
  • Alibaba
  • Gearbest
  • Walmart
  • Kmart
  • Target
  • Wayfair
  • Bedbathandbeyond
  • Wholesale central

And many more.

However, I must add, the automation features that are available with Aliexpress cannot be used with the other online retailers.

So, even though it may seem like a good feature, I personally do not think many people will be using it because the other online retailers will already be selling products at competitive prices, so at best your profit margins will be razor thin.

Dropified Training

They do provide basic training on how to use the software but when compared to the likes of AliDropship and Oberlo, the material provided by Dropified is disappointing. This is an area they could definitely improve by providing their users with better guides on subjects related to eCommerce and dropshipping.

They have recently updated their pricing plans and now offer three options.

When Dropified was released a few years ago, it only worked with Shopify (hence it was called Shopified app), however, they have since upgraded the app to work with  Commerce HQ, WooCommerce and BigCommerce stores.

Final Thoughts

Dropified is an impressive dropshipping app with a host of features that will make it easier to run a dropshipping business.

With features like 1-click order, pricing automation rules and automatic inventory updates, it’s easy to see this app has become very popular amongst eCommerce dropshippers.
